Chameleone unveils his Basima Ogenze video as the Goodlife release Mr. Ability:

The last week of 2009 was a very busy week which many Ugandan artists used strategically. It did only involve the multiple concerts that were organized with in and outside Kampala to celebrate the end of 2009 plus ushering in the new year but also involved strategic year conclusions by some artists.Chameleone for example used the last week to release his Basima Ogenze video. This very song is the title of his new album Basima Ogenze that he is set to release in Ferbuary.The Basima Ogenze video has a great story that clearly narrates the nature of many Ugandans, Africans and the entire world. It has different posters of late Ugandans that did so much for the country but were only remembered at death. These include Kabaka Muteesa Edward, Idi Amin, Majid Musisi, Philly Bongole Lutaaya and Paul Kafeero.Its such a good video that reminds all the Heavyweight haters that the Doctor is still in the game big time.

In that very week, the Goodlife crew also unleashed their Mr. Ability video after continuously cry outs from their dear fans.Mr.Ability is a collaboration that features the Goodlife crew of Weasle and Radio plus Swangz Avenue’s Rabadaba.The video is a direct translation of what is in the Audio. In this video, the boys looked all pimped up, the lighting and texture were superb. From the beginning to the end these guys from the Swangz Avenue and Goodlife are seen proving to the world how loaded they are. This Video represents the showbiz game at its climax..Mr.Ability is receiving uncountable airplay on all local T.V stations.

UGANDA’S MUSIC GOES A STEP HIGH.

After decades of stagnant growth in Ugandan music, it is worth a smile today due to the fact that drastic and positive changes have rocked Ugandan music. From the old days, Uganda was blessed with interesting music vocalist such as Jimmy Katumba, Philly Bongoole Lutaaya, Herman Bassudde and Elly Wamala .However after their departure to eternal life, Ugandan music took a negative trend.

This was a period of music depression and many critics later lamented that talent was no more in Uganda. In a short run these critics were proved right as music was now more of a game than art. With such a boomerang in the eyes of Ugandans, it was only GOD that would justify the ends.

A few determined musicians then decided to work day and night to prove all their critics wrong.PP .Currently, music in Uganda has become a showbiz with lots of empowered and promising music stars. The rise of stars such as Bobi wine, Bebe cool , Jose Chameloene, Kid fox, Juliana K, Iryn Namubiru has been accompanied by massive competition both desirable and undesirable. Minus the later, another group of young and promising stars is also emerging. These include, GNL Zamba, Moses Radio and Weasel, Aziz Azion, Grace Nakimera, Jamal and many more. Combining both teams, it is indeed worth celebration to all those who treasure and support Ugandan vibes. PP. In my own words, I would like to take you through these lyric stars.
